Patience

Posted on August 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM

Patience is hard to learn,

not waiting would be preferred,

but many times in life

your wants must be deferred.

When you feel impatient,

it may lead to despair;

you need to wait for God's timing

and go to Him in prayer.

God's time is not our time,

but He knows what is best,

so place your hope and trust in God

and in His love patiently rest.

Such a lovely poem, and yes, only in God can we place our hope and trust.

Oh, yes! Patience is difficult sometimes but realizing God's best will come makes it easier. Wonderful, Connie!

Boy, Connie, did I need this! Patience is a virtue I do NOT have! Thanks so much for reminding me that God is telling me to trust in Him and not myself! Lovely, my friend!

Patience, as hard as it is learning, develops our character. You have a great way with words. Lovely poem with a precious truth! May God bless you abundantly :)

Another fine offering! I've always laughed at the prayer, "Lord, please give me patience ... AND GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT NOW!!" Teehee...
